“This’ll be fine.”
Luna is passionate about making films. It’s her dream, and she has been working toward the next step for two years. She also realized she was bi. And now, she has to navigate how that changes her life while trying to balance work and friends.
This was a charming, relatable book. Luna is a character many people will relate to, and her journey will resonate with many “baby gays.”
I loved Romy. She had a very cool, confident, loyal element to her character, and I enjoyed her development throughout the book. Val was also great; I think she is another relatable character.
I liked how this story mixed humor with the serious aspects. It made the experience feel authentic. Most people who identify as not straight will find this story endearing and relatable.
The fear, insecurity, and questions are endless when you’re trying to figure yourself out, and I found that so well represented. This was an easy read, with a storyline that flowed smoothly. I was engaged and had a hard time putting the book down.

April Asher, aka April Hunt, was hooked on romantic stories from the time she first snuck a bodice-ripper romance out from her mom’s bedside table. She now lives out her own happily-ever-after with her college-sweetheart husband, their two children, and a cat who thinks she’s more dog—and human—than feline. By day, April dons dark blue nursing scrubs and drinks way too much caffeine. By night, she still consumes too much caffeine, but she does it with a laptop in hand, and from her favorite side of the couch.
“… when someone finds their purpose, magical things happen.”
Rose is trying to figure out what her calling is. Now that her sister is working with the Prima, her day has a lot of empty hours when she crosses paths with the hot veterinarian, and their chemistry is off the charts. Too bad he has secrets.
This was cute. I enjoyed the storyline, though I wish I had read the first book before reading this one. I feel like there were details I missed without reading the first book.
The storytelling was fun, and I enjoyed the plot. I don’t usually read this romance genre, but I enjoyed the magic. I found the pacing perfect for the story, and I enjoyed the characters.
This was a charming read. The personalities were all larger than life, which made sense for a supernatural community. I enjoyed Rose and Damien finding their way, and the side characters were all the perfect comedic relief.
I think this series will be really good. A lot of thought and planning has gone into bringing this world to life, and the development is strong. I would read the third book.

Evie Alexander is an award-winning author of sexy romantic comedies with a very British sense of humour. A self-confessed ‘method writer,’ Evie has taken it upon herself to live a full and messy life, from which romantic and personal failures become fodder for her laugh-out-loud plotlines. Imaginative, passionate and frequently called ‘bonkers’ by her friends, Evie’s interests include reading, eating, saving the world, and fantasising about people who only exist between the pages of her books. Her novel Highland Games won Best in Category in the The CHATELAINE Book Awards for Romantic Fiction and Women’s Fiction 2021. Evie lives in the West country with her family, where she pens her steamy stories from the Smut Hut.
“I love you to the end of the universe.”
Sam has found fame acting on a popular English soap, but she dreams of more. When she learns her best friend is working with one of Hollywood’s biggest stars at Kinloch castle, she knows this is her chance. Jamie is steady and scheduled. He lives at home with his mom because she needs him, and he does things that make him happy. He’s shy and happy staying out of the spotlight until a blond bombshell crashes into his life.
This was so sweet. I’ve been reading for Evie since she released the first book in this series, and I love seeing her characters develop. It takes an excellent eye for detail to tell separate stories within the same period, within the realm of different books. But she nailed it.
I loved getting to know these characters more. Sam is so energetic and fun. Jamie is so strong and kind. Morag has been a favorite side character from the start; her warmth and love are beautiful. I enjoyed Fiona and her sass as well.
This story was charming. The way the romance was so ingrained in the story was lovely. There was a lot of excellent character development throughout, and I enjoyed the emotional elements.
As always, the humor was fantastic. Evie is so funny, and her characters reflect that. The situations, comments, and moments are so well delivered and amusing.
Seeing this storyline from another perspective was great. I love how different the couples are and how passionate they can be. Jamie was a surprise, but I found him so endearing.
I love how Evie tells a story. There are so many beautiful moments; she plays the balance of sweet, steamy, emotional, and chaos perfectly. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series- how can things possibly get any better?

Sophie Sullivan is a Canadian author as well as a cookie-eating, Diet Pepsi-drinking, Disney enthusiast who loves reading and writing romance in almost equal measure. She writes around her day job as a teacher and spends her spare time with her sweet family watching reruns of Friends. TEN RULES FOR FAKING IT is her rom-com debut novel, but she’s had plenty of practice writing happily ever after as her alter ego, Jody Holford.
“It would look like whatever they made it, together.”
Hailey has just opened her salad shop and is fully invested in her fresh start. Her ex hurt her, so her focus is entirely on her business. And maybe making some friends, but mostly her business. When she has a random encounter with a handsome stranger, she doesn’t put too much into it. Until she meets him again, and they decide they are going to be just friends.
This was such a charming story. I loved the characters, and I will have to read the previous two books to get to know them better.
Hailey was charismatic, sweet, and utterly herself. Wes was determined to be successful and entirely in control. He was not expecting a Hailey-shaped whirlwind to blow into his life, but here she was.
I loved the brothers’ dynamic and the bond between the women. I enjoyed the wit and the banter. I also love that this story leaned into the romcom tropes and embraced the classics.
This relationship felt authentic. This could be how a forever love happens, and I found that endearing. I enjoyed the plot, the pacing, and the self-awareness the characters had.
I liked how the main characters could look inside themselves and realize their flaws without being wrecked about them. The relationships throughout this novel are all so heartfelt and genuine.
This was my first rom-com by Sophie Sullivan, but it won’t be my last. I found her writing style easygoing and entertaining. I had a hard time putting this book down. A light, beautiful read for any romcom fan.

“The whole world is obsessed with my love life.”
Amber is hardworking and passionate about her job as a veterinarian. She also carries the weight of supporting her siblings, the only family she has. Her love for her patients is the only thing that makes participating in the reality show filmed at her clinic worth it until the show decides to spice things up. Ian has traveled the world working with animals. He’s a natural on camera and ready to steam things up with his new costar.
This book was so cute! The entire concept was original and sweet. I loved having a reality show filmed while professionals were doing their job.
I found the balance between work and filming realistic, and the meddling orchestrated by the production team for ratings came across as something that happens.
I loved the characters in this book. Amber was fierce, intelligent, and talented. Ian was kind, loyal, and ambitious. Their balance was so well done. Amber comes from the foster care system, with her family she built versus Ian’s, growing up with an ultra-wealthy, very arrogant family that did things for show was brilliant.
I devoured this story in a single sitting. I couldn’t put this book down. The plot was so charming, and the story sucked you in. This is an addictive, adorable, and pleasantly heartfelt read.

Marriage looks good for Noel and Sam. As they prepare for another holiday, Noel gets good news she can’t wait to share. She is equal parts excited and nervous, hoping Sam is happy. The family is still crazy, and life is about to intensify.
Oh goodness. I have fallen in love with these characters. Something I love about Tara, she is an incredible storyteller and can blend heartfelt with steamy so beautifully.
I love the closeness of this family. Everyone has their weirdness on display and is accepted for it. Tara can present just being yourself and shows how that is always right.
This final installation in this series was the perfect way to end this story. Sweet, spicy, and crazy as heck. I love that happily ever after doesn’t have to be normal. It can be loud, colorful, and contain a lot of profanity.

“You shut your mouth when you’re talking to me!”
Wedding bells are ringing, fireworks have been acquired, and the guests are all invited. Noel and Sam are making their final days before their wedding count, but the family isn’t making it easy. Just when they think they will get a perfect wedding day- a firework explodes, and chaos ensues.
I love this family so much. The chaos, humor, and witty banter slay me.
This book was more character-driven, and I love getting to know these people even more. We get to spend even more time with Sam, and he is just perfect.
I love how relaxed Noel regards her wedding. She wants to marry Sam and is willing to tolerate whatever madness her mother throws at her to get it.
The one-liners in this book are so cleverly placed, and the humor is outrageous- scenes fly by because it’s impossible to stop reading.
I have to know what happens. Holidays have never been so entertaining!

“How much worse could things possibly get?”
Noel is running home after her flashy boyfriend decides to propose. She does not want that. When she spills her drink on a stranger, they start chatting, and she convinces Sam to come home with her and pretend to be her boyfriend. Neither expected a Christmas miracle.
THIS WAS SO CUTE. And so funny, I laughed out loud at several passages. I bought this book over a year ago, and I regret waiting so long to read it.
No one tells a steamy rom-com story like Tara Sivec. And getting to know Tara as a person has only made me appreciate her talent more.
This was the perfect steamy Christmas read. I loved Noel and Sam. Their balance was spot on, and Noel’s family is fantastic.
I could have read this story for days! Festive, fun, and had a perfect balance is steam. A Christmas classic!

“… maybe people who leave you don’t always stay lost to you forever.”
Maya is on the precipice of change when she gets an unexpected phone call. And that call leads to a bizarre offer. Skye has been living a solitary life, traveling the world alone. When she gets an unexpected invitation, she accepts. What’s the worst thing that could happen?
This was a cute story. I did have to keep reminding myself that it was a YA romcom, though. How certain things were handled or the thought process involved was very young and naive. But appropriate for the age group, and the level of maturity does strengthen as the plot thickens.
I enjoyed the characters; the leading group of six were all different and had a sparkle about them. Maya and Skye are our main characters, and they were an excellent balance. Perrie was a beautifully written side character, and I loved her from the start. Francesca was bold and spoke her mind. Lauren was a peacemaker. Kim was a romantic. They all played well off of each other and the circumstances they faced together.
The concept for this story was interesting, kind of like the Bachelor but for young adults. There were some twists along the way, but I found the pacing well done.
I enjoyed the alternating narrators and the way the story progressed. It felt authentic. Overall this was a charming romance that people will love. Memorable characters, crazy moments, and learning to follow your heart!
I would love to see Perrie get her own spin-off book, though. She was my favorite from the beginning.

“This is the best Christmas ever.”
Rory and Zoe are enjoying married life. Things at the castle are going well, and Zoe has booked events through Christmas. But when a Christmas miracle appears, Rory isn’t sure he can handle it.
This was so cute! I love Rory and Zoe so much, so this was a fantastic glimpse into their lives. I love that the whole crazy clan was included, too.
This was a charming installation in this story, and I enjoyed the Christmas vibes. I like how this novella focuses so much on Rory, giving us his feelings and perspective.
The ending was precious. I’m ready to pull out my Christmas decorations!
No Crib and No Bed by Kelly Kay
“I don’t know if they do, but I certainly do.”
Tabi and Bax live a passionate life. They are madly in love, running a thriving vineyard, and have a fantastic family. They want to be parents, but it hasn’t happened yet. After a freak accident leaves their home condemned, they get the call that will change their life forever.
This was beyond sweet. I cried my way through the last half of this story.
I enjoy Tabi and Bax, and I need to read their books to get to know them better. Their love is pure and deep, and it is so solid.
I loved the blended chaos with these characters. The family bond is strong and beautiful. This was such a great read, and it was a perfect holiday story.
I liked the alternating narrators; the balance was well-suited and showed how in sync Tabi and Bax are. Their union is genuinely one of love, admiration, and absolute respect.
This was an extraordinary story, and it will melt your heart. I loved every minute of this journey.
