“You should get married on the 4th,” they said. “It will be so romantic,” they said.
Did you know that during a pyrotechnic display, a single firework travels 481 feet per second and can take out a small village? Did you know it can also singe the ball hair off of any man standing within a mile radius of said-pyrotechnic display (and singed ball hair smells a lot like a sh*t-filled baby diaper that’s been lit on fire), and it can make a vintage wedding dress go up in flames like a barn full of dry hay?
Yeah, me either…
“You shut your mouth when you’re talking to me!”
Wedding bells are ringing, fireworks have been acquired, and the guests are all invited. Noel and Sam are making their final days before their wedding count, but the family isn’t making it easy. Just when they think they will get a perfect wedding day- a firework explodes, and chaos ensues.
I love this family so much. The chaos, humor, and witty banter slay me.
This book was more character-driven, and I love getting to know these people even more. We get to spend even more time with Sam, and he is just perfect.
I love how relaxed Noel regards her wedding. She wants to marry Sam and is willing to tolerate whatever madness her mother throws at her to get it.
The one-liners in this book are so cleverly placed, and the humor is outrageous- scenes fly by because it’s impossible to stop reading.
I have to know what happens. Holidays have never been so entertaining!
