Daniel Hurst is an Amazon #1 bestselling author of fast paced psychological thrillers. His most popular titles include Til Death Do Us Part, The Passenger and The Doctor’s Wife, the latter title reaching #1 on the Amazon UK Kindle store in February 2023. A regular KDP Select All Star since he became a full-time author in 2021, Daniel prides himself on writing fast, releasing stories often and engaging with his readers.

I loved my husband, Doctor Drew Devlin, but he betrayed me. And now he’s dead.
As I put the key in the lock and open the door to the luxurious new home I’ve purchased with Drew’s life insurance money, I’m certain the worst days are behind me. My secret is safe, and I can’t wait to enjoy my new wealth and freedom.
Then I meet handsome Roger. I wasn’t looking for a relationship but as we spend our evenings drinking wine on my sunny terrace, I realise he’s just what I need right now. Roger is nothing like Drew, he’s spontaneous and romantic. And most of all, he’s honest.
He thinks I’m a rich, lonely woman. He’s wrong of course, there’s so much more to me…
But then one night, when we’re curled up in bed together, Roger says something that makes my blood run cold. I think he knows the truth about my life as the doctor’s wife.
I will do anything to stop my past from catching up with me… But is Roger really who he says he is? Or is my life now in danger?
“Thankfully, that’s not my problem.”
Fern thinks she is moving forward with her life. She has just purchased a luxurious home and is enjoying decorating it. She is even dating someone new, and while she has to keep it quiet so people don’t get suspicious, she can’t help but feel like she is getting everything she deserves.
Oh my goodness! This picked up shortly after the previous book (The Doctor’s Wife) ended and did not slow down.
Fern is such a poisonous spider. She is so sneaky, but she doesn’t know what is happening right in front of her nose. Roger is sneaky, but his motives are good. While I found him creepy, I can’t fault his motivation.
Alice is trying to survive prison. And it isn’t going well. When she gets information from an unlikely source, she feels a flutter of hope. But she is scared to get too excited because no one has believed her before. Being innocent doesn’t keep you out of prison.
The way this book unraveled was bananas. The beautifully orchestrated plot was executed so well. I love how Daniel tells a story. He captures each character so thoroughly and can make you scream at characters in his books.
I devoured this book. It is impossible to put down, and Bookouture announced the third book in this series. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
