“Someone has been watching me.”
Lottie is relieved when her husband, Neil, recovers from his accident. Even more so when he is offered a great job with a nice salary and a cottage for them; it’s the fresh start they all need. Until Lottie realizes she can see into Neeta and Ted’s house from the bedroom. Now she is waiting to see what secrets are revealed.
This was quite the ride. The twists, turns, and secrets were well executed and kept the plot moving.
The characters were all well-developed. Lottie was a bit of a nosy neighbor, but she felt justified. Neil just wanted to get back to some semblance of normal. Neeta and Ted want to appear like a golden couple. Everyone has secrets.
The way this story was told was interesting. I enjoyed the alternating timelines and the development of the plot. The storyline was unique, and the twist was well done. I did not see it coming.
This started as a slower burn but quickly picked up to the point the book became difficult to put down.
