Her fifth book DYING TO TELL will be released on 28 February 2023. All five books feature heroine Aoife Walsh. They are all standalone thrillers and can be read in any order. A native of Ireland, Val began reading at the age of three and still devours books at the rate of one per week. Her favourite authors range from Philippa Gregory and Sophie Kinsella to Lee Child and Linwood Barclay.

Aoife has a public piece she’s been assigned. And she figures it will be a pretty easy assignment. But the deeper she gets into her research, the more she realizes that things aren’t what they seem.
Holy cannoli. This book was a ride. I love Aoife. She is such a bold character. I love how intelligent she is and how dynamic she is. Her heart is so pure, and she is an excellent leading lady.
I loved all of the elements in this book. The wedding planning, the secrets, the levels of characters. It was all so well done, and it was easy to see how overwhelmed Aoife felt.
I loved the Irish names in this book, I probably mispronounced them all over my head, but they were beautiful. I loved that Orla was such a prominent character in this book; I like her a lot.
I wish we had gotten to the wedding; after everything that happened, that would have been a fantastic ending. But I am so pleased with how this book played out.
I was wrong in how I thought things would play out; I fell for the distractions hard, so as the truth gets revealed, my jaw hit the floor. I love how Val tells a story, and I love being so invested in this cast of characters.
I have enjoyed this series from the start. I am already anxiously awaiting the next book!
