When Andi Edwards discovers her husband isn’t where he’s supposed to be and isn’t answering her calls or texts, a flurry of scenarios races through her mind.
Is he hurt?
Is he cheating?
Is he dead?
The truth, she soon finds out, is so much worse than she could’ve imagined.
As she struggles to make sense of her new and chilling reality, she must decide whether to stand by the man she loves and help protect him or walk away and let him pay for his sins.
With time running out, the secret in the basement becomes more dangerous, and the spine-chilling truth becomes clear: if she makes the wrong decision, she stands to lose much more than her marriage.
When their best laid plans come back to haunt them, what will Spencer and Andi be willing to sacrifice to survive?
“Something is wrong.”
Andi comes home early and can tell something is wrong. She can’t find her husband, Spencer, and starts to panic. Then she hears a noise in the basement.
HOLY CRUD ON A CRACKER. This was insane. I loved the pacing of this book. I was grabbed from the first sentence and held captive until the last sentence.
Andi is a devoted wife and mother. She adores her family. So when her husband confesses something awful, she shoves her feelings aside and agrees to do whatever he needs her to do.
The twists in this book are aggressive. And when this house of cards starts to crumble, there is nowhere to hide. The truth strikes fast and hard, repeatedly.
This might be the most devious I’ve ever seen KMod. This story is dark, dirty, and twisted. It delves deep into the human psyche and makes you question everything.
This was an intense read. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. It is impossible to put this book down, even for a second. Things happen so quickly, and the whiplash doesn’t stop until the very end.
This is most definitely the year of dark thrillers for KMOd. She is taking her writing to an entirely new level, and if this is the kind of result, I am all in.
How far would you go to protect your family?
