I received a copy of this book for free, and I leave my review voluntarily. Zoe Adams is an audacious author exploring the layered ups and downs of love. A passionate writer, she draws her inspiration from a variety of sources. Her admiration for romance books, her understanding of human character, and her observing eye for exciting scenarios are a few of them. But above all, her greatest writing gift is her bold, unapologetic love for love itself.

“I was also wondering if I should ask you to be my plus-one.”

Evelyn is a hardworking perfectionist who doesn’t want to rely on anything that could make life easier if it fails. Zach is recovering in more ways than one, and since coming home, he’s been looking for something to give him purpose. So his job and the bakery puts him back on the path of Evelyn.

I love how Zoe tells a love story. This was much closer to the classic Zoe we know and love. The steam was piping hot, and the romance was sweet.

I loved meeting Zach, and I am excited to continue this series. These characters are all so bold. I love the solid personalities and passionate hearts.

I am looking forward to seeing what Zoe has in mind for Olive!
