They always want to break me, but I’m too strong now. Untouchable.
Or at least I was…until her.

I’ve had tunnel vision for one main goal for so long, that I forgot there was a whole other world just outside. Until Lana.

She’s everything I never expected, and I love the fact I can never guess her every move or reaction. It’s part of the reason I keep falling. But I also know she shuts me out, hides things from me she feels she can’t share.

One day, I hope she trusts me enough to share.

It isn’t until my job puts her at risk that I realize just how fierce she is, but it doesn’t stop me from doing all I can to protect her. I should walk away to protect her better, but I can’t. Instead, I’m forced to find other ways to keep her safe.

I just hope it’s enough.

“I love little secrets.”

Lana and Logan are continuing their complicated romance, just as Lana continues her mission of revenge. When a case that hits too close to home falls into her lap, Lana makes a dangerous and deadly detour.

This book flew by; I couldn’t put it down. I love how easy this story is to read. The characters are all so vivid and well done.

I love Jake- he is the absolute best friend a person could have, and I love that Lana has him in her corner. I also love Lana- she may be a tad stabby sometimes, but she is also very loyal.

I enjoy how profound the writing is and how Lana is humanized, despite her secrets. I also love that she is not referred to as a victim but as a survivor. An Angel of redemption. That is powerful and beautiful.

The way this book ended, much like the first book, tells me that the cliffhangers will guarantee I read this entire series!
