Langley Gray traveled around the world and was lucky enough to marry her own leading man. Three kids and a house in the suburbs later, she decided to add some adventure back into #thatminivanlife by pursuing her dream of writing fiction. She draws on her degree in psychology to shape (read: torture) her characters and is a ghostwriter for cozy mysteries and children’s books on the side.

Christmas is supposed to be a time of magic and wonder, but things aren’t looking very festive for Everly this year; her ex-boyfriend is dating her ex-best friend. Now she’s at home for the holidays with a front-row seat to their happiness.

Then her aunt swoops in with an offer she can’t refuse – a once in a lifetime trip to the North Pole. She might be alone at Christmas, but at least she’ll be in a glass igloo, under the Northern Lights.

When an unexpected hero saves the day on her train ride north, Everly meets Dustin. Both are both mending their broken hearts and they settle into a comfortable companionship as they explore all that Finland has to offer.

Will their friendship blossom into more than shared snowmobiles and sleigh rides? Find out in this twinkling love story, set in the magic of the arctic circle.

“So, what do you say?”

Everly is home for the holidays when she gets two pieces of news. One, her ex is engaged to her best friend, who he cheated on her with. And two, her adventurous aunt broke her leg and has transferred her trip to Finland to Everly. Everly was looking forward to seeing the northern lights; she wasn’t expecting to fall in love.

There is something so charming about a love story written by Langley Gray. Her characters are well-rounded, and their stories punch you in the heart.

I don’t know how I missed reading this book, but it is the perfect Christmas romance. I enjoyed the alternating narration and that both Everly and Dustin were in similar situations in their lives.

The scenery descriptions are beautiful and so vivid you feel like you’re witnessing the light show in person. And I could almost feel the frosty air! This was a quick read filled with happiness, love, and hope.
