I received a copy of this book for free, and I leave my review voluntarily.

AJ Campbell is the Amazon bestselling author of four psychological suspense novels. She draws inspiration for her writing from many facets of everyday life. The human mind and how different people react to each other and interact in society fascinates her. She loves settling down with a good book and enjoys thought-provoking stories that beg the question – what would I have done in that situation?

“This is the problem with lies. You tell one, and they keep coming, one after another. You can’t stop them.”

Joey is desperate to figure out how to help his family. Financial struggles and his mom’s health struggles have weighed heavily on him. When he is on the brink of losing everything, he gets the call. The call is supposed to get everything back on track. The call that will change his life, allowing Joey to change his family’s lives. Joey had no idea how wrong he was.

This was a fast-paced thriller. I enjoyed that it took place in a short period and that the flow was consistent.

I enjoyed the characters and found their development to be well done. I liked Joey and his good heart. He was indeed a lovely character who just wanted to do his best.

I enjoyed that things kicked off quickly and stayed at a breakneck speed. The terror in the book is traumatic and realistic. And as the plot moves forward, you start to feel the weight of the guilt and fear in your belly.

Another terrifying book from AJ Campbell!
