Oh, dang it, Lucinda Berry! This was such a good book! And Kate Marcin was fantastic as the narrator. Her performance was spot on.
I enjoyed this book so much. I loved the complexities and the twists. Berry has the incredible ability to bring mental and emotional issues to life with the most vivid of details.
I enjoyed how this story played out. I also liked the various characters. Their quirks and personalities were so unique, and their varying diagnosis were all well covered.
Sometimes o forget that Lucinda was a psychologist. Until her characters start being broken down in a way that no other writer could manage. The detail, the performance, and the results are simply *chefs kiss* perfect.
The twists in the book. Oh, man… I listened to this mainly while driving, and there were a few times when I had to remind myself that I was driving because I was floored by some revelation.
I have listened to or read just about every novel Berry has released, and she continues to catch me hook, line, and sinker.
