I received a copy of this book for free, and I leave my review voluntarily.

Opal Tremblay, a sassy indie author, lives under the ocean with her other mermaid besties—sipping saltwater coffee until she can take off her coconut bra and pour wine into her mug instead to fully live her best life. JK, she lives in the middle of nowhere Midwest where it’s cold, and most people look at you weird when you wear a tail and fruit carcasses instead of a winter jacket. But she’s not complaining (too much) about the boring landscape or the iffy weather because it’s how she got the idea to start writing smutty stories to keep herself entertained and busy—and mostly out of trouble. It wasn’t long before she realized how much she loved it and that she was even pretty good. She writes about exciting and lusty situations, hookups and breakups, and occasionally throws in a crime or mystery, too—not in any particular order. Opal lives with her family, including a sassy kid, a wonderful husband, and enough pets to annoy the hell out of said husband. You can usually find her with her big butt on the couch, either writing or binging tv. Most people don’t know the filthy thoughts running through her head most of the time. She’s constantly swearing, getting new tattoos, and loves (LOVES) talking. A lot. She believes in all-consuming love and romances, happy endings (both kinds), and that soulmates exist.

Cherry Pink found her calling in life. And now there’s nothing she loves more than her job as a CamGirl. But her exploits are just too juicy to keep to herself, so she starts writing letters to the best dirty magazine around. After the wild success the magazine had after her first letter, they publish every single one she sends them.

Cherry’s second letter is about a very special holiday episode of her CamGirl streaming show. But it doesn’t stop with her sexy exploits on screen. She shares a lot of detail about what happens after the show, on the very holiday she was getting excited about on camera.

It turns out friends make good lovers, especially the forbidden ones!

“I have such a sweet spot for the villains. So misunderstood. Or dare I say, unfortunate souls?”

Cherry Pink is a successful and proud camgirl. She loves what she does, and she enjoys the lifestyle. Though Cherry Pink is her cam stage name, her friends don’t know about that side of her life. Until her best friend lets it slip that he knows- and the clothes come off quickly.

This story was told as a story, which was interesting. Very voyeuristic. This was the first book I’ve read from Opal, so I can’t say whether or not this is a common style for her.

I didn’t feel like o got to know or build any attachments to the character. I am slightly intrigued by how the previous stories in this series are told in the same format.

It’s quick and steamy, and I appreciate the openness and necessity to kink and consent. Very important.

It’s a super quick read, with several steamy scenes. Not the kinkiest I’ve read, but spicy. I did enjoy the apparent confidence with the storytelling, and I think this series would be worth the read.
