I received a copy of this book for free, and I leave my review voluntarily.
Jina S. Bazzar is a freelance writer, a blogger, a mother, a baker, a chocolate fiend, a coffee enthusiast, and sometimes a poet. A wanderer in this vast world, She is just another body with a passion for the written word. There is no boundary she can’t cross, no limit she can’t push; her mind is her passport, her thoughts her mode of transportation.

“I have everything I’ve ever wanted right here.”
Ricardo is a rockstar, with hordes of fans that scream his name everywhere he goes. Carol is famous in her own way, for entirely different reasons. When a blizzard provides them a weekend filled with romance, laughs, and seemingly endless connection, the last thing either ever expected was a reality to slap them in the face.
This story was told in dual timelines, alternating the past with the present. I found the alternating timelines exciting and engaging.
The first portion of this novel was a slow burn for me, but as things sped up and pieces started falling into place, the pacing picked up, and the intensity magnified significantly.
I enjoyed the combination of the two lifestyles, fame, and infamy, in this story. I also found Ricardo and Carol charming.
Carol is resistant. She is strong and intelligent, and she follows her heart no matter the cost. I enjoyed her ad a leading lady. Her storyline is filled with heartbreak, yet she had such a sweetness to her character that I found it endearing.
Ricardo was the perfect mix of cocky rockstar and the sweet boy next door. He has such loyalty inside of him and a desire to be seen for who he is, not just the persona he presents on stage.
Together, Ricardo and Carol present a beautiful pair. And I found their journey to figure things out both exciting and challenging.
This was a unique storyline, and I got pulled further into the plot with every page I read. This is a complicated love story, but it is well told.
The details are so important, and when everything clicks and the twists come together, the spiral gets intense. This was a great read. The characters, the location, and the details are fantastic. This was a labor of love.
I loved the combination of music with the intensity of a thriller. This could be an excellent series! Someone call Netflix!
