I received a copy of this book for free, and I leave this review voluntarily.
Langley Gray traveled around the world and was lucky enough to marry her own leading man. Three kids and a house in the suburbs later, she decided to add some adventure back into #thatminivanlife by pursuing her dream of writing fiction. She draws on her degree in psychology to shape (read: torture) her characters and is a ghostwriter for cozy mysteries and children’s books on the side.

“We keep calm and SantaCon on.”
Marcy is taking some time away from college and her home and visiting her cousin in Canada. Marcy, Holly, and their roommate Hugh share an apartment in a cute village decked out for Christmas. As Holly prepares to kick off the annual SantaCon, with Marcy in tow, they discover a Hollywood heartthrob is also in town. Now, it’s a race to see who will make it through the holidays.
Oh, beyond cute. I absolutely loved this book! Langley has such a beautiful way of telling a story and bringing characters to life.
Marcy is adorable. And she has a good head on her shoulders. She is loyal and honest, and the girl is addicted to coffee. She wears her expressions quite loudly and appreciates a good pun.
Logan is tall, dark, and handsome. Definitely an unexpected love interest, but when Mr. Right shows up, you change your plans!
I enjoyed the pacing of this story; it was quick and had so much charm. I loved the cat and mouse feel and the way everyone was suspicious. The scenery was described so well; you almost felt the chill against your cheek.
This is such a fun holiday read. It is a unique and delightful way to get into the Christmas spirit. The idea of a SantaCon is both adorable and random, and it was the perfect backdrop to start this mystery.
I really hope that Marcy’s story continues because I need to know if Logan is her New Years’ kiss! This was another heartwarming hit from the talented Langley Gray!
