I received a copy of this book for free, and I leave My review voluntarily.
TL Swan is seriously addicted to the thrill of writing and can’t imagine a time when she wasn’t. She resides in Sydney, Australia, where she is living out her own happily ever after with her husband and their three children.

“I guess I’m just not that into you.”
Kate is an IT manager at a media company that the Miles family owns. Her boss, Elliot, grinds her gears like no other. They can’t get along. Until Elliot sees Kate when she doesn’t think anyone is watching- suddenly the media declared “Casanova” is smitten by the one person that can’t stand the sight of him. Fate is fickle.
This book has to be broken into parts simply because many elements have to be processed.
The characters are all well done, and I enjoyed the fact that despite Elliot being the typical billionaire alpha, Kate was still a strong, intelligent, stubborn leading lady. While she was willing to bend to Elliot in certain circumstances, she ultimately held her own and did not get forced into anything.
The romance build-up was quite tumultuous, almost high school level of yo-yo dating. But it worked well within the storyline and with the characters. The arc Elliot took throughout this novel was quite extraordinary, and I am pleased to say he went from zero to hero.
While the steamy scenes were heavy, in my opinion, they took a backseat to the realization that falling in love, and being in love, can be terrifying. I found this aspect so well represented, and I identified with both characters as they worked through their feelings together and independently.
There is a twist I didn’t see coming, and it melted my heart. Who knew that beneath a steamy office romance would be a dreamy love story that makes you sigh out loud?
I enjoyed this book a lot more than I anticipated. I wasn’t sure how I would feel, considering this is part of a series I haven’t read, from a relatively new to me author. But I very much enjoyed this novel and the chaos that is happily ever after.
