Troubles and Treats by Tara Sivec
Published: November 29, 2012
I purchased this book on Amazon.
Tara Sivec is a USA Today best-selling author, wife, mother, chauffeur, maid, short-order cook, baby-sitter, and sarcasm expert. She lives in Ohio with her husband and two children and looks forward to the day when all three of them become adults and move out.
“I am bringing sexy back, bitches!”
Jenny and Drew are known for being adventurous when it comes to their adult time. Most of the time, and much to their friend’s absolute horror, Jenny and Drew tend to overshare their escapades. So when the fire seems nearly doused, both Drew and Jenny privately panic. Could their fire have burned out?
This book focused on Jenny and Drew but heavily features everyone else we have come to love throughout this series. This book is years later, so each couple has grown up and matured (using that term loosely) with babies and real-life problems.
Drew feels neglected, and Jenny feels overwhelmed, but they don’t share this with each other. Through a series of quite hilarious mishaps, the gang tries to help patch this sinking raft as it continues taking water.
I loved how this book focused on growth and unity and the absolute necessity of communication with your partner. Tara Sivec has the most fantastic gift for weaving profound and beautiful bits of fact into her super-steamy, sometimes sticky romcoms.
