A lot is going on in this book, and Debra Elise keeps it all organized and easy to follow. But with every turn of the page, the plot thickens, a new danger lurks, and yet another secret threatens exposure. Despite there being such an involved plot, it all plays out in a very easy to track manner, and the bread crumb of facts that tie it all together is well orchestrated.

I enjoyed all of the layers of this story and that everyone had at least one secret they were protecting from everyone else. This book is filled with action, deceit, and chemistry.

The characters are very well developed, and they each have a backstory that has to lead them to where they are throughout this book. The plot, the twists, the secrets are all so well played. This is a dense novel, filled with so many secrets, so many lies, and so much hidden desire; you will not be able to put it down.

This is the first book I’ve read from Debra Elise, and I hope it isn’t the last. The way this book ends leaves room for a follow-up, and with this fantastic cast of characters, I would say this team is on the case.
