I enjoyed the way this story unfolded. The way Colleen Hoover used slam poetry was pretty great. The story line, though sad at times, was very real. I loved Julia (Lake’s mom) in this book. I could almost feel the mom hugs! This book acknowledges the steps in the grieving process, and validated the hell out of them. A sweet, emotional and poised story. I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars.
