It’s pretty incredible how even when you don’t want to like a character, you’re still able to empathize with her journey. The way Leah is written, we see all of her flaws. We know all of her dirty secrets. We know all of her insecurities. We know she isn’t perfect, and yet you still find yourself kind of rooting for her. Because she has so much determination and because she isn’t afraid to go after (and hold on to) what she wants. There is such depth to this character, and such a vicious strength, yet she is still very soft and pliable under all that insecurity and anger. Very well written, such a fantastic second book in this series. I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars.
